Dear English Resident,
Our trip to Jamestown was long but bearable and completely worth the trip. I love the atmosphere and being able to build my own town and life. I spend a lot of time farming so that we have plenty of food to eat. Corn and tobacco grow well here, as the natives have taught us. We have been trading goods with the natives in order to receive their experienced ideas and foods. We enjoy hunting and fishing as well for food. There is a lot of work to do but everyone in town takes part. Coming to Jamestown was such a good decision and I am so happy to be here.
Sincerely,
Nancy
Dear Journal,
The trip to Jamestown was horrible. The boat was crowded, smelly, and we did not have enough food. Finally, we have arrived at Jamestown and there are scary natives already living nearby. They do not seem to be happy about our arrival but they have taught us some things about fishing, hunting, and farming. They are also helping us by trading - as we do not have enough food and supplies to keep everyone alive. I miss England and am worried about surviving here in Jamestown.
<3 Nancy
